Knowledge domain: above and belowground interactions, plant-soil feedback effects, community ecology, climate and land-use changes, ecosystem functioning, mycorrhizas, soil microbial communities, C:N:P stoichiometry, isotope labelling, nutrient cycling.

Field experience: leaves and root traits, plant surveys, stem counting, biomass sorting by species, root collecting, soil respiration, litter decomposition, removal and drought experiment, isotopes (13C, 15N, 32P), soil nutrient cycling analysis.

Measuring devices: Licor 8100A/Licor 6400XT Automated Soil CO2 flux system, EGM-4 Environmental Gas Monitor, CIRAS-2 Leaf Gas exchange, mini-containers system of litter decomposition, Autoanalyser SmartChem140 (dissolved inorganic nitrogen).

Microbial analysis: T-RFLP, PLFA, PFGE, root mycorrhizal colonization.

Computing: R (GLM, LME, PCA-RDA-MFA, Meta-analysis, SEM lavaan), IT manager (4 years, ECOS lab, CH), website and editing (WordPress, Webs, IMovie, Inkscape), Journal of Ecology blog editor.
